Point of Sale (POS)
The POS screen is where you make sales. It's designed to be fast and easy, even during busy times.
Overview
The POS is the main screen you'll use every day. From here you can:
- Add products to a sale (tap, scan, or search)
- Adjust quantities and apply discounts
- Accept multiple payment types
- Print or share receipts
- Process refunds and returns
Making a Sale
Step 1: Add Products
There are three ways to add products:
- Tap the product card - Fastest for common items
- Scan barcode - Tap the scan button and point at barcode
- Search by name - Type in the search box
Step 2: Adjust Cart
- Use + and - buttons to change quantity
- Tap the item to edit price or add discount
- Swipe left to remove an item
Step 3: Complete Payment
- Tap the Charge button
- Select payment method:
- Cash - Enter amount received, get change calculated
- Mobile Money - MTN MoMo, Airtel Money
- Card - Visa, Mastercard
- Tap Complete Sale
Split Payment: You can split one sale across multiple payment methods. Just tap "Add Payment Method" and enter the amount for each.
Applying Discounts
There are two types of discounts:
Item Discount
Discount on a single product:
- Tap the item in the cart
- Tap Add Discount
- Enter percentage or amount
- Tap Apply
Cart Discount
Discount on the whole sale:
- Tap the Discount button below the cart
- Enter percentage or amount
- Tap Apply
Offline Mode
BizoraPOS works without internet. This is what happens:
- Making sales - Works normally, all sales are saved
- Stock updates - Works normally
- Reports - Shows local data
- EBM receipts - Queued and sent when internet returns
When internet returns, everything syncs automatically. You don't need to do anything.
Offline indicator: A small cloud icon with a line shows when you're offline. It turns green when connected.
Receipts
After a sale, you can:
- Print receipt - To a connected printer
- Share via WhatsApp - Send digital receipt to customer
- Email receipt - If customer provides email
- Skip receipt - For quick transactions
All receipts are saved and can be reprinted from Sales History.
Refunds and Returns
To process a refund:
- Go to Sales History
- Find the original sale
- Tap Refund
- Select items to refund (or full refund)
- Choose refund method (cash back or store credit)
- Confirm the refund
Stock is automatically returned to inventory for refunded items.
Tips for Faster Checkout
- Organize products by category - Use categories to find products quickly
- Pin favorite products - Most-sold items appear first
- Use barcode scanner - External scanners are even faster
- Set up quick amounts - Pre-set cash amounts (1000, 5000, 10000)
